Basket ball team, The Rhondda Rebels said "We don't want country music, and we don't want anything slow".
This was the first time Nigel and I had written a 'song' together. We set out to write a rock anthem for the 'Rebels' international debut in the European league. They did not win the match, but they did go on to become British champions, and were awarded Welsh Sports Personality Of The Year.
Maybe we should write something for the WRU... Al Steele
[Ed. This text was of course written, before Wales won the Grand Slam.. and they did go on to release an anthem for the WRU!
